Orders, Payments and Shipping
Everyone has to register on the website before placing an Order. Please type your address and phone number carefully as that is the address to which I will ship your parcel. If you move, please be sure to update your address.
All prices quoted are in United States Dollars (US$). To check the equivalent price in your own currency use the currency conversion program on the Shop page. http://www.xe.com/
South African collectors will be invoiced in Rands (ZAR) and make payment to my Standard Bank account.
Should you register or place an order and don’t hear back from me within two days, please email me on militaria@netpoint.co.za
As I send so many emails every day, many of the emails being sent via the website are being treated as spam by some servers. If you do not receive an email reply from the website then please check your spam folder.
Please confirm your Order is correct after receiving an email from the website, I will then check and make sure the item/s are available, package the Order and send you an Invoice.
Don’t make any payment until you received the Invoice, shipping is not included in the price.
Payment must be made within 3 days of me sending the Invoice please. If you can’t make payment within 3 days, please contact me to discuss before you place the Order.
I accept PayPal payments only if you use the “Friends and Family” option.
I only accept Bank drafts from overseas countries when it is a high value Order as my bank charges me a flat rate of around US$25.00 for each foreign exchange transaction.
I do not have Credit Card facilities.
When adding an item to your shopping cart, please understand that you are entering into an agreement to purchase. If you change your mind and do not want to go through with the Order, remove that item from your cart and let me know straight away. Once you have placed an item in your cart it is reserved for you and nobody else can buy it.
Guarantee
All items are guaranteed original unless otherwise stated. If you are not happy with any item purchased please let me know as soon as you have received it and then return the same item (Within 21 days), in the same condition, for a refund, less shipping. This does not cover items ordered in error.
Shipping
Shipping costs are not included in the price.
For South African collectors, Postnet to Postnet or Fastway Couriers are the best, let me know which one you prefer when you place the order. I don’t use the South African Post Office for local orders.
For Postnet please supply the name of your closest Postnet branch and your cell phone number, for their waybill.
For Fastway Couriers I need a full street address and cell phone number for their waybill.
For overseas collectors, please read through the options below and let me know which shipping method you want to use when you place your order.
The South African Post Office has become very unreliable, with some air mail parcels laying at the outgoing International Office for over 6 months before being shipped. This is unacceptable and I am very reluctant to use them anymore. All parcels I have posted via the Post Office have arrived, but very late.
Since 29 August 2025 the SA Post Office no longer ships to the USA. https://www.postoffice.co.za/BusinessRescue/pressreleasemailsuspendedusa29aug25.pdf
DHL Couriers: is more expensive, but is the quickest and safest. Prices increase 1st January every year.
DHL to United Kingdom, Europe and Middle East: US$39.00 (Up to 500g and less than 2cm thick)
DHL to USA, Canada and Mexico: US$44.00 (Up to 500g and less than 2cm thick)
DHL to Rest of the World: US$55.00 (Up to 500g and less than 2cm thick)
Remailit: I can also offer a Remailit service. They are a division of the courier company Courierit. https://www.courierit.co.za/ Remailit is an economy option, can take around two months to arrive, and cannot be tracked.
Remailit parcels are collected on Friday’s, unless it is a Public Holiday or I am away on leave. They collect the parcel, sealed in their satchel, from me and send it to England where it is unpacked from their satchel and posted to you via Royal Mail.
I get a waybill with your name on it when they collect the parcel from me.
For small orders, a few badges, Remailit will cost US$15.50 for all countries, except for the United States of America, which costs US$17.05. (Since 1 September 2025 a 10% surcharge was implemented due to US Government eliminating the long-standing $800 de minimis duty-free threshold. Now, every shipment into the US, regardless of value, will be subject to import duties and taxes.)
For DHL and Postnet parcels, Wednesdays are my shipping days, unless the Wednesday is a Public Holiday or I am away on leave. To prevent delay in shipping please make payment by Tuesday so that I have time to package your order and prepare the documents before I leave Wednesday morning for my shipping run.
I package your Order to the best of my ability to make sure it arrives in the same condition I posted it. I hand over that parcel to the shipper and get a waybill or receipt from them, then entrust them, and both our Customs, to look after it on its way to you. I cannot be held liable if the parcel goes missing enroute.
I do not charge for my time in packaging parcels and taking them to be shipped like some dealers do, that is part of my service. I do charge for packaging materials but recycle packaging and try to keep all the shipping and packaging costs as low as possible.
Edged Weapons
DHL is now shipping edged weapons, knives, bayonets, swords, etc, but it is fairly expensive as the longer the item, the larger the size DHL box that has to be used.
I can ship edged weapons cheaper via the South African Post Office, but, as mentioned above, their service is very slow, and no service to the USA.
