Contact: A Tribute to those who Served, by John Lovett, August 1978, 3rd edition, 240 pages, hundreds of photos of the Rhodesian Special Air Service (SAS), Selous Scouts, Rhodesian Light Infantry (RLI), Rhodesian African Rifles (RAR), British South Africa Police (BSAP) and other Rhodesian Security Forces.  Dust cover in poor condition with dust cover spine reinforced with masking tape, and some pages with foxing, otherwise very good condition.

Signed by Lieut Colonel Ron Reid Daly CLM DMM MBE – first Commanding Officer of the Selous Scouts, Captain Daniel Steyn DMM, Captain Chris Schulenburgh GCV SCR, Sergeant Stephen Mpofu SCR, and Lieutenant Chris Gough OLM, all Selous Scouts.

Contact is a pictorial profile of the war and of Rhodesia’s armed services. John Lovett writes fluently and informatively of the country’s military tradition, of the political origins of the present conflict, and of the history and nature of the operations against terrorism. Thereafter, he devotes several substantial and dramatically illustrated chapters to the security forces themselves. Special features of the book are the reproduction, in full, of many citations which have accompanied awards for gallantry since 1966, photos of all the Rhodesian honours and awards, and comprehensive rolls of medal recipients, Roll of Honour, the best book on the Rhodesian Bush War.
