East German Police Voluntary Auxiliary of the Peoples Police – Freiwilliger Helfer der Volkspolizei.
The red cloth armband features an embroidered silver and gold German Democratic Republic (GDR) coat of arms.
These armbands were worn by civilian volunteers who assisted the regular police with patrols and traffic control.
