Australian made South African Pattern 1907 bayonet dated 1942 (’42) and stamped with the Australian Lithgow Small Arms Factory stamp (MA) and a Crowned proof mark, also has Broad Arrow stamp and a bend test X mark. Grip stamped with Union of South Africa Military stamp (Arrow within a U). Scabbard locket stamped with Union of South Africa Military stamp (Arrow within a U) and year 1949 (49), with SAR (South African Railways) who had their own Police and SR (possibly Southern Rhodesia) into the leather.
