7723 : Rhodesian Special Air Service combat jacket

1960’s – 1980

Rhodesian Special Air Service camouflage combat jacket, 134cm chest, sleeves 47cm from under arm to cuff, back length 77cm from under collar to bottom, with first pattern black backing Rhodesian SAS paratrooper wings on right sleeve. Marks where Colour Sergeant and Warrant Officer ranks have been removed from right sleeve, this when soldier was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the Special Air Service and later as a Captain in the Selous Scouts. Has had a warm removable fur lining privately fitted, label faded, ink stain on left breast pocket, repairs to inside neck and around bottom hem. Nice early issue camo jacket, with a photo of the original owner wearing it as a Colour Sergeant in the SAS, can supply name to buyer
